Sherman Sneaks across the Line

Mike Sherman has topped the field in the Championship Final on Friday September 8th with a terrific score of 65 net, 7 under Par.

Sherman’s outward nine started less than spectacularly with a double bogey 6 to get his round underway, but this obviously got him hot under the collar as he played his next six holes in Level Par until disaster struck on holes 8 and 9 where he played them in 5 over par to close with a 7 over par total of 43.

Sherman rebounded on hole 10 with a spectacular birdie 3 to banish the Demons and with a quick pit stop at The Hut to freshen up played the remaining holes in very steady fashion to close out his round in 81 strokes for a net of 65 and the Win.

Hot on the heels of Sherman was Oliver Set who posted a net of 66 off his handicap of 10 and despite closing with a spectacular birdie 4 on the 18th hole fell just outside of the magical mark needed to secure his name on the Board.

Rounding out the Top 3 was Rob Kennedy with a net of 75 and who had his own battles with the course as he had no fewer than 3 double bogeys on his card, which was always going to  be difficult to recover from.
