Ramsden it home in the Social

Dene Ramsden played spirited golf to claim his first victory in the Tourette’s Thursday Social on June 22nd scoring a hefty 22 stableford points.

It was an amazing score in oppressive conditions and was that hot that even the chickens were laying fried eggs, so Dene must have had ice coursing through his veins to have performed to such a high level.

The highlight of the round for Dene was the birdie 3 he grossed on the 15th hole which netted him a whopping 4 stableford points, plus a 1 stroke handicap reduction when he returns for his next game.

Ajay “I’m always collecting folding” Kotwal finished in second place on 20 stableford points which was made even more creditable by the fact that he failed to record a score on the relatively straight forward 10th hole, instead saving his glory for the wicked 13th hole where his gross birdie netted him 4 stableford points.

Pin Winners on the afternoon were House of Payne and Gary Smith on holes 12 and 16, whilst Gerry Gibson rode his trusty wand to glory to claim the least putts prize with 13 putts over the nine holes.

The kitty for the “Main Prizes” continues to rise higher than Jack Spriggins enchanted bean as not one golfer has managed to hole the putt in the Longest Putt category or hole the Chip, but when they do it’s going to be some night.

We had 3 Blind Pairs Draws on the day which made the following 6 persons very happy indeed.

  1. Dafyd & Dene – 38 points
  2. Gerry & Jihad – 34 points
  3. Ajay & Ian Craig – 31 points
