Clifford Brand & Oliver Spencer tasted rarified air as they romped to victory in the 2 player scramble with a net score of 26.3 net. For Cliff & Oliver it was their first victory and one that has surely moistened their appetite for more, and one which will hopefully inspire a more determined practice regime from the both of them in the future.
Ajay and Andrew Kotwal put in a strong performance to stride into second place with a knock of 27.1 net, some 1.3 strokes ahead of the Third Placed pairing of Mike Magee and Ian Wilson. Pin winners on the Night were Spider Man who holed out his chip on the 14th for an eagle 2, with Alistair Barker firing a dart at the 16th hole to within 4 ft to claim his prize.
Spooning on the evening were Derek Fisher and Paul Redfern who struggled in the freshening conditions and could only put together an even par score of 36 net. By his own admissions, had it not been for Derek’s brilliance on every other hole, they would have struggled to break 50, seems it Seniors Tour for Mr. Fisher next season.
