A golfing holiday back to South Africa was obviously the tonic Johan Buxmann needed as he claimed the Gross Division 1st Place in the January Monthly Challenge. Shooting a gross score of 83, Buxmann played patchy golf by his own admissions, something to do with jet lag ones feels, but it was enough to just see off the evergreen J.I. Park by 1 stroke, with a further 2 strokes back to Ahmad Mustapha.
The net division was also hotly contested with Ajay Kotwal continuing his purple patch to shoot a fabulous 71 net. Ajay relegated Wilma Fernandes into second place in the card countback but still afforded her plenty of points as she has now increased her lead by some 250 points in the Net Order of Merit . Rounding out the top 3 was Partha who also posted a very fine net of 73 as he looks to get his season underway in style.
Pin Winners on the day were Gavin Brown with his laser like approach into the 10th, with Manilyn Buxmann striking form on the 4th.
