Alister Barker was smiling like a Butcher’s Dog until he found out that Simon Payne had matched his score of 19 stableford points in the Tourette’s Weekly Social.
With the field topping 20 players, both chaps played inspired golf, and for Alister it was his second Win on the Spin signaling that his game is peaking just in time for the start of the Golfing season.
For Payne, this Win now sees him playing from a + 4 Handicap for 9 holes, and one feels that this is the last time we see him shimmering across the timber floor boards to accept any more folding as the Winner.
Due to field number we had an increase in the Special Event prizes, with Simon Payne continuing that winning feeling to claim both the approach on the 10th hole and the pin on the 12th hole.
Mike Sherman was the Lucky recipient of a Complimentary 1 hour Massage after his approach to the 15th hole that failed to be beaten, with Mizu laying claim to the pin on the 16th hole.
The Kitty for the Longest Putt and Chip continues to grow skyward as Lady Luck refuses to answer the call from the field, or maybe she is just playing hard to get, time will tell.
Blind Pairs Winners were Mike Sherman and Alister Barker on 30 points, with Second Place going to Dene Ramsden and H.H. Sheikh Fahim bin Sultan Al Qasimi on 27 points, and the Third and final place being awarded to Juma Al Alawi and Mizu on 26 points.
