Michelle’s Lim’s devastating form continues as she won the Golden Ball Series Qualifier to earn a place in the Grand Final at Al Hamra Golf Club where a Top 3 finish will earn a place in the RAK Golf Challenge Pro-Am on October 5th.
Michelle posted a net of 69 which was matched by Cavan Bickell, but unfortunately for the extra from Pirates from the Caribbean, “Dead Men Tell No Tales” he missed out in the card countback, thanks in part to bogeying his final 3 holes, where one Par would have seen him victorious.
Taking nothing from Michelle, she bounced back from a less than memorable outward nine holes with a renewed confidence on the shorter more manageable inward 9 and set about clawing back the deficit between her and Cavan, which was 3 shots in Cavan’s favour.
Despite his efforts, Bickell could not contain Michelle on the holes where she stroked as she managed to make net birdies against his net bogey’s, and it was this advantage that was to lead to the final result falling her way.
