Mike Sherman finally crossed the line for a long overdue win in the Weekly Tourette’s Social with a magical 21 stableford points.
Sherman was a model of consistency throughout his round with the only two unsightly blemishes coming on holes 5 and 9 where he could only record net bogeys.
The rest of his round was to be admired however, as his length off the tee combined with his accurate iron play allowed him to extract several net birdies and a net eagle on the second hole.
The special events on the day saw a mixed bag of prize recipients, with Disco Dave gaining a rather favourable bounce on the 4th hole to claim the pin, with Ash Shukla coming within inches of a hole in 1 on the 8th to claim his prize.
Annette Mansell showed some rather delicate touch to sink the longest putt, some 60 ft in length, while Patricia Mottershead played a lovely chip from a very challenging lie to claim to prize on the 6th hole.
Blind Pairs is always the highlight of the event and once again lived up to the hype, with Mike Sherman & Ajay Kotwal being drawn on a combined total of 36 points for the win, with Andy Coleman and Simon Payne on 32 points claiming second place.
