Three Tie in Hypercompetitive Social

Jumah Alalawi, Alister Barker & Mike Sherman defeated a Stella field to claim the bragging rights plus a 1 shot handicap deduction in the weekly Thursday Social after posting 18 stableford a piece.

All players played extremely consistently throughout their rounds with Alister the only player not to record a full card of points when he succumb to the pressure on the treacherous Par 5, 13th hole.

For Jumah Al Alalawi it was the first time he has tasted Victory after many many months of trying and is just deserves for all of his hard work and dedication to the game.

Mike is a multiple Winner this month and with his 9 hole handicap now being reduced to 4 will place his game under considerable pressure to be more consistent, as his new handicap will not afford him the Luxury of too many wild shots.

The longest putt and chip continue to elude the field, whilst Mike Sherman claimed the Pin on the 12th hole with Simon Payne taking the honour with his approach into the 15th hole. In the least Putts Category, there were 4 players who had their eye in and tied on 15 putts each, Disco Dave, Ajay Kotwal, Hanif Ibrahim and Simon Payne.

As a general rule of thumb, the Winner or Winner’s usually take out the Blind Pairs and this week was no exception, Mike Sherman & Michelle Lim claimed 1st position on 35 stableford points with Jumah Al Alalawi & Henry Chow taking 2nd place on a combined tally of 28 stableford points.
