Pay Day for Payne in Tourette’s Social

Twenty Five Golfers teed it up on Thursday 8th of June in the weekly Thursday Tourette’s Social with Simon Payne claiming the Win after posting 22 stableford points.

Payne’s putter seemed to match the outside summer temperature as much to the shock his playing partners his putts found the bottom of the cup with monotonous regularity. Outside of their disbelief of this rare feat, all they could do was simply watch and applaud his round in which he recorded 4 birdies and a solitary eagle in his final 5 holes for Victory.

Hot on the heels of Payne were last week’s Winner, Alister Barker and Michael Sherman whom both posted scores of 20 stableford points to share the spoils in Second Place and whose form looks promising for next week’s event.

Rolling along into the Special Events prizes, Sam Dawson made a return to winning ways when he claimed the pin on the 12th hole, with Payne’s day of glory continuing on holes 16, 11 and 14 as his accurate approach shots were also rewarded with some additional folding.

Despite his game not being at his best, Jihad Azzam did chip and putt his way to the Least Putts Prize as his tally of 11 putts over the 9 holes was good enough to see him victorious over the chasing pack.

Triumphant pairings on the day in the Blind Pairs rundown were Alister Barker and Disco Dave in 1st Place, with Jumah Al Alalawi and Simon Payne sharing Second Place with Mike Sherman and Ben Mosley.
