Abdul Fattah & Kotwal find form in February

Despite a rather forgettable front nine, Mizu Abdul Fattah snuck across the line in a card count back with Johan Buxmann for the Medalist Honors in the February Monthly Challenge. Both chaps fired scores that belie their talent but it was Abdul Fattah who claimed victory as his back nine of 37 bettered Johan by a single stroke.

Self Promotion Authoritarian, Mr. Derek Fisher, also managed to keep his name on the leader board to claim 3rd place with a not so tardy 86, but if you listened to him, it should have been a sub 80 had it not been for such a horrific outward nine of 46.

The net division was also a close fought affair, with Mr. Consistent, Ajay Kotwal shooting a very solid net score of 70 to claim victory. As usual, Kotwal was a model of consistency, but was helped to victory in part by the fall of Bickell’s game on hole 18 as he signed for an unsightly wine and dine (9) gifting the victory to Kotwal.

Gavin Brown also turned his fortunes around after a quadruple bogey, double bogey finish to his outward nine holes to claim third place in the net division with a score of 73. Brown has been a steady performer this season and could be one to watch in the Net Division of forthcoming Club Championships.
